I have a Droid X and have ripped the Need for Speed Shift apk off of it. This thing is a whopping 100 MEGS! I know people have been looking for this for a while, so I happily present it to you all!

Im not sure if its permissible to post this here, but it is not a paid app. It is the full game locked to a few tracks unless you purchase it for 9.99. The purchase happens in-game and is billed to your carrier account rather than Google checkout.

This is the full game apk but you must purchase it to unlock it.

Got it to install on my MOTO Droid running froyo without having to use apps 2sd.

Snapdagon users have been reporting graphical issues. Sorry incredible and evo users.

My thoughts: This is the most visually impressive android game to date, having played the console version and beat it I was amazed at how close they came to replicating the console experience on a android phone. Its that good. The physics are very well done and handle like real cars, and it keeps almost all of the visual elements of the console game so I felt right at home. Having bought it, I would definitely recommend it to other Android gaming enthusiasts.

Thanks man will try it out. Have a Snapdragon (came with 768MHz but overclocked to 1GHz) but Acer overclocked our GPUs on the Eclair update (no official word but benchmarks seem to imply it, Nenamark1 scores of 16.7 with sound back it up. Better than Incredible/Nexus/Evo/Desire/X10).

Got apps2sd on my custom rom.

Gonna try it out and see how it works out.

And dudde you got a Droid X? Wish I was how. How you liking it? Is it as great as advertised?

Thanks, it worked (new to using apps2sd, just got it 2 days ago when I got my new sdcard).

Yup not working well with QSD. Nothing like the snapshots, looked pretty much black and white. Which is weird because I have seen videos of it running well on the Nexus. Must be an optimized version especially for Nexus because this is probably made to run on a OMAP or Hummingbird.

Anyone else tried this on the Desire? menu's are fine but as soon as I start playing the screen is just black - bar the HUD, steering wheel, I can't see anything outside the car it's all just black, from the on screen map I can see the game runs OK ... except for lack of image :( don't suppose anyone knows of a workaround.

Thanks.

Wow, that sucks. Sorry. Noone has been able to figure out a workaround. Someone suggested changing camera views but that has had little success.
