buying from best buy

I have a droid x on pre-order from best buy. When you buy a phone from them
will they just hand you the box and you pay or are they going to want to open it up and do a bunch of setup ? I'd really rather just handle all that myself.

If I'm not mistaken, if you're getting it for the upgrade price, they are required to activate the phone on the Verizon network. Now if you're paying full price, I don't know.....

We open it up and activate it, the price you get it for (199.99) is with the activation of the phone. If you are buying it at full price then we won't, but for the 199.99 we have to. As far as everything else, like Gmail and other setup for your phone, it's included for us to do it (we are there to help you learn to use your phone), but if you don't want us to do any of that, it's not needed

What if I'm doing the 2 year upgrade and am more than capable of activating it myself and would rather not waste the time to have them do it in the store?

Can you get the one year contract at Best Buy? I have already preordered mine from there but didn't think to ask at the time. If so, what is the one year price?

I'm sure it does but sometimes the employees think they know more than you so take their sweet time and I'm going to be on a tight schedule to get the phone and get to work on time.
