What's the white EVO back made from?

is it made from the cheap, crack prone plastic that the iPhone 3GS' back is made from? I currently have an iPhone 4 but the EVO is really tempting me!

Guess if I get the EVO I'm going with the black because I like the feel of the soft rubber-like back cover. and your home phone isn't moving around all the time and being slipped in and out of pockets, so bad reference.

because the black back is more of a matte finish and the white is shiny which means it's made out of a different material.

Maybe because there are already 2 different backs for the evo, even in black?
My friend's is harder while mine is soft and rubbery.

The black has a rubberized coating and the white one is just glossy white that gets scratched easier.

I can attest to the white plastic cracking. My 2nd replacement and current EVO is a white one, 003. The second day I had it, I noticed that the plastic was cracking just below my power button on the white bezel. Very small, but i noticed that I could chip it away with a fingernail or if it got caught on something if I am not careful. You can see the red undercoating starting to show. I will try and get a picture.
