Help How will it work with Outlook and Exchange?

I would love to be able to sync my phone for personal use with Outlook at home and also connect it to my exchange server for email and calendar as well. Does the X provide Outlook syncing of any kind? Can I sync my calendar from Exchange onto this phone and how about the Exchange Global Address List?

I read somewhere that Verizon will charge 15.00 more a month for me to connect to an exchange server. Is that true?

All you need to do is to add your account and your set. I think you needed the extra $15 for something before but now nearly nobody needs it.

The one thing I loved about my blackberry (soon to be replaced by Droid X) was the ability to sync my email through outlook web access (OWA). All I had to do was give it the domain, username, and password. Does anyone know if this will be possible with the Droid X right out of the box. From the research I've done, it looks like the program Touchdown has this capability. Any feedback or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

No Droid needs the extra $15 dollar plan to work with an exchange server. And The X will be the first Droid to support remote wipe feature.

Well technically the Droid Incredible supported remote wipe, but I know what you are saying. This will be the first Motorola Droid that supports it, or that is what I think you are saying.

So are we positive that is supports remote wipe? This would be great, this is required for our exchange servers.

Thanks

i believe it can use 'activesync', which is essentially OWA (mapi via http). if so, the extra charge is avoidable (just don't mention exchange, the phone will still do it...they just want to hit you for the perceived higher data use). and yes, the exchange admin tools support remote wipe via activesync if the device allows it. dunno if the X does.
