Awesome! I'll probably play around with those. Thanks!

Yeah, that whole site has about 20 really nice, large, free icon sets.

Royalty Free Icons & Clipart Stock Images ~ Icons Etc.

By the way, make sure you download the icons individually, and click on them until you get them at their largest. I tried downloading the zipped sets at first and the icons came out on the Evo desktop miniscule, too small to use by a lot.

Thanks for posting the full pick of the frozen eyeballs. Couple of questions for you.

How do you change icons? Do I need an app or do I have to be rooted?

What do you use to take pics of your home screen?

Found this site a week or two ago then forgot about it..Icons are great but like you said, tiny. Tried just dl'ing icon images from the site, well one to test, and it wasn't transparent. Tried just a minute ago, and it was transparent but the same size. Which one should we download? I clicked the icon where it opened up by itself then downloaded..Do we just download the ones that are in the gallery, not click then save..or what? Thanks.

Icons

You do not need to be rooted (I'm not).

But you do need to purchase Better Cut (I believe it's like $1.99 in the Market). Then, mounting your Evo as a disk drive, move icon (.png files) onto your SD card, and follow Better Cut's directions - essentially you create a shortcut to the app you want and load a custom icon (i.e., what you put on your SD card) for the shortcut.

Screen Captures

If you're rooted, you can use the app "ShootMe" (available in the Market).

If you're not rooted, the process is much more involved (have to do it through SDK), but doable. Best I can do is point you to two tutorials, which I used to set up screen capture ability.

I only had success (in terms of a suitable icon size) where I clicked on an individual icon to get to the "large icon" screen

(like this - http://icons.mysitemyway.com/free-c...tyle-id/607/glossy-waxed-wood-icons/business/ - Notice how much bigger it is when you click it again and it pops out)

then, I clicked the icon again to open a pop-out window with the icon. Right clicked, saved as, and copied to SD card. This resulted in icons of an acceptable size on the Evo desktop.

Here's another good icon site, although, again, you have to be careful with size (I think the minimum useable size is 128 px by 128 px - the sizes vary a lot, so make sure you check; also note that sometimes an icon will show that size, but the icon itself will be smaller than the surrounding transparent box; you need the actual icon to be 128^2 or larger).

Here's an example of a set where the icons are a sufficient size to work well on the Evo desktop.

Thanks. That is what I did, clicked to get the big image, and once I put it on the Evo it was the same tiny size. Wonder if it depends on the set.

So many great themes! All of these are very cool looking. I have a question - I thought I saw a link on this board, but can't seem to find it again, for a set of android app icons, all based on the android robot. For example, the MP3 player icon was the robot with headphones, email the robot with the mail icon, etc. I went through all the pages, but I can't seem to find it again. I'm pretty sure I downloaded it at work, but I am really wanting to add those to my phone...so much inspiration here, lol. - Cheers!
