Got my replacement next day?!

My Incredible has been exhibiting some annoying problems, but the one that really irked me was the VERY pink screen when it was dimmed to a lower brightness setting. I got a very nice tier 2 rep who said he'd put me on the list for a replacement, but I would not receive it until mid august.

Yesterday, my neighbor came over with a box; said that FedEx gave it to him since I was not home to sign. It was another inc! It was just the bare phone, and in the "certified replacement" packaging.

No pink hue, no sound quality issues. I'm happy. I just found it strange that these things are on heavy backorder, and I somehow got one immediately.

It's because you got a Certified Refurb, if it works be happy, My refurb came next day also, but had more issues than the original lol, So i kept the original, until they can try and send me a 3rd retail new.. Good news is Verizon are giving me 30 days on every new handset :)

You mean that white should not appear pinkish on the lower brightness settings (I'm running the medium brightness setting) or that yours was excessively pink?

Anyways, glad to hear that you got a replacement you're happy with.

mine was pink even on medium, but on low, it was...SERIOUSLY bad. Like, so bad I could not use the phone without getting pissed. Maybe I'm overly picky, but when I pay $500 for a phone, I expect it to be free of manufacturing flaws, at the very least. I, for one, am not at all impressed with the OLED in comparison to my friend's Retina display. Different strokes for different folks, I suppose.

Either way, this is a helluva phone...and I really like it even more now.

I have gone through 4 refurb phones. my first had a pink hue, my second and third did not have ANY AT ALL. My latest one i got (yesterday) has the worst pink hue, so much that the entire screen itself seems like it is faded or something... i think i am going to call verizon and request a different one.
