Well, us early adopters had ot pay out of pocket and then get reimbursed with a $100 gift card if we purchased through the online to get our NE2 discount of $50. Now, it seems, that the rebates are gone and you get a discounted price of $199 minus the NE2.

Of coruse, it makes sense - the rebate form itself says valid on purchasess from 6 Nov to 7 Nov only....

wait a sec. I was ready for a NE2. should I of only payed 149?

Or is this for online purchase only? cause I did pay like 300 before rebate.

Online pricing would be $299 with an instant online discount of $100 making it $199 for any Joe Smoe. Beyond that if eligible for new every 2 credit you would receive another $30-$50 off depending on your NE2 discount. You should note that the online instant discount takes place of the mail in rebate and is online only. I you purchase in store you have to do the mail in rebate.

Sounds like they forgot to honor your NE2 discount...

FYI , The Droid BOGO is for either an LGVX5500 or an LG Glance with additional 2 year contract.

I was up for NE2 in February as well. I was saving it for the Omnia2 but I just couldnt pass up the Droid , so I lost my NE2 and upgraded early for the Droid. Well worth it :D

Have you gotten used to the "feel" of the Droid? My buddy has had his since day one and he says he still feels like he is going to drop it or otherwise break it. He says it feels "delicate" despite the size and weight.

Delicate? No way! This thing is built like a TANK , its solid. And the slider is sturdy as hell ta boot! :D I have had alot of delicate phones in the past but this has to be the exact opposite end of that spectrum, imo.

I dunno. I even almost dropped it Friday playing with it. Maybe when he gets his rubberized cover for it that will help with the slipperiness.
