So I dropped my phone from my pocket to the floor. Picked it up and there you see it's a shattered screen. Believe it or not this incredible still works perfectly!! Droid does it again.

every time i hear a drop story with a shatterd screen i feel so lucky. i droped mine last week while walking to class on to concrete and im 6'3 so it took a good fall, and all i have to show for it is both edges of the plastic on the right side are just a little scuffed. i feel your loss like the others said hope you got insurance on that baby!

...well I'm an exception to this rule.

I cover my phones in a good silicone case, and good protectors. BUT I am the biggest clutz around. Not even joking I get bruised getting into a truck or out of bed sometimes.

That being said, I have accidentally thrown my phone a few times (attackaged of the bugs I live in the boonies), and dropped it a number of times. These weren't like minor things accidents either.

BUT ITS PERFECT STILL.

I launched my Inc across the living room last week, hard enough that it bounced off the brick hearth of my fireplace and made it 3 or 4 foot back towards me.

I had ZERO doubt I had just inherited a $500 kaleidoscope... (Naked, extended batt.)

Not a mark.

Not on purpose, I hope

Glad it made it through alive though, that gives me hope haha

I just hope you are doing okay after the heart attack you probably had.

I know I would have!

Oh dude that sucks!!! I had a major drop this past week. I run my Inc naked and use a Seidio Spring-Clip Holster. I was getting out of my Jeep and clipped my phone into the holster. I got out and my phone popped out of the holster, dropped ~4 feet with forward momentum (I was at the edge of a built up pile of gravel driveway at my mom's house) and it hit the ground HARD and slid ~2 feet, slammed up against a concrete garage foundation and bounced back ~6". No scratches, no damage. OMG I am so thankful that it landed just right.

After evaluating the problem, I discovered that my shirt must have gotten pinned in between my holster and my phone. I will be a bit more careful when I put it in the holster from now on.

I have this little pocket on the front of my purse that I like to keep my phone in. It's the perfect size for it and I love the easy access to the phone.

But seeing threads like this makes me think I am far better off just putting my phone in my purse where it's safer. The slight inconvenience of having to open my purse to pull out my phone isn't nearly as big as the inconvenience of it falling out and needing to be replaced!

I've dropped my phone, both naked and protected, probably 5 times from waist level so far. Looks perfect still. I did however lay it in some scented oil and it ate through the plastic back, cracking it, and seeped in to the camera lens area, devouring the glue that holds the plastic cover on. This left me wondering wtf is in scented oil?
