Help Constant Lockups

Well, got tired of the issues with the stock rom (random calls I did not make, phone lockups, battery issues) 2.1 with recovery and root, so I decided last night to reflash it with stock and use the radioactive froyo firmware 1.7.1 from SDX. Everything was fine last night. This morning I've had it lock up on me 3 times. Every time it happens after I hit the end button to turn off the screen. The screen doesn't come back up.

I just want a working phone?! Is that too much to ask Samsung and Sprint?!

are you running live wallpaper? i had this issue happen when i was running LW, so i removed it... and things have been good since.

Nope, live wallpaper has been turned off.

This phone sucks. I knew I should have waited a few months after release for this phone.
