I'm in the little town of Greenwood, SC and there's only 1 road i've found where signal drops (none of the other carriers lose signal there) and it doesn't pickup to roam other networks either for some reason. Everywhere else i've gone i've been surprised by great 3G signal (even in my office inside our plant) considering Sprint's reputation for network reliability here.

Sprint has the 2nd best network. Not too shabby IMO.

Did you guys enable roaming... it's usually off by default.

For the home, I suggest picking up an AIRAVE. If you call Sprint and explain the situation, usually they comp the box and the monthly fee.

People are ignorant that’s why they don't like sprint. I used to be an at&t user. I had been since it was AT&T before Cingular. I always assumed since sprint was so much smaller then Verizon or at&t that the service must blow. Without any advertising telling me otherwise how was I to know? Not that HTC could handle any more phone sales but HTC and Sprint really blew it when it came to advertising this phone. No one knows about it and no one realizes that there is 4G already in some major cities. Top that off with cheaper service and unlimited mobile to mobile and it’s a great carrier. Every time I tell people it’s unlimited mobile to mobile they assume its within network like everyone else. "No, its any mobile phone on any network". "Oh you mean like your top 5 or 10 numbers?" NO! They are all shocked when I tell them. I bet all of these people know about at&t rollover minutes… Sprint really needs to get their butt in gear when it comes to advertising. The droid X is going to blow the pants off the EVO in sales.

I have had Sprint for over 10 years now and the service has been nothing but stellar. In NY and now in NC.

Having Sprint always made me feel like I was part of an underground society.

Ditto. In my apartment, I get spotty service, which is troublesome because I don't have a landline. But outside, and at work, it's been fine. (NYC)

are you a new customer? i am assuming this bc of iphone. you should call retentions and tell them what a huge problem it is that you're not getting service and are thinking about switching back b/c att worked fine in your home.

they will send you an airave which will give you signal at home.
i got one about a week after i got my evo b/c service seemed worse here. i think the evo just needed some time b/c signal here is now the same as it was before, but now that i have this thing i'm not missing any calls. :)

I tried to get an AirWave and here's my experience... The rep I spoke to said that I couldn't get it for free because I have a spending limit on my account. Once I hit 18 months the spending limit usually comes off and I can try calling back at that time to get the AirWave for free and the monthly charges waived. Weird that I have a spending limit since I have good credit, but maybe I can try calling again.

Technically there is a $4.99 a month fee for an Airave unless they tell you that they waived it.

ohh no son hell naw!!!!just googled it!!!

im gonna call today, i have two Evo's

Multi-Line (multiple phones sharing minutes on one account) Unlimited Calling Plan (optional) - $20/mo. per account**

there is no way im paying 20$ to have cell phone signal in my home they are smoking crack

im on my 5th day with sprint and everything seemed too good to be true ...if there is a fee for that im out in a hurry!!

It says optional, that's if you want unlimited calling from home that doesn't take away minutes from your anytime minutes. I don't think you'd need this. The $4.99 a month charge is for AirWave usage, you should try to get that part of it waived at least.

I wouldn't sweat it, there shouldn't be a problem having them waive the fee. Especially if you are a new customer. Just make sure when you call to pick the option to cancel service. If the rep doesn't budge, ask for a supervisor.
