Root Battery Drain After Nand Backup

Ok first off, I am using Ivans Eris_Official_1.0 with absolutely no issues. I get 10-12 hours of use on a full battery with moderate usage. A couple of weeks back I decided I wanted to play around with some other roms so I created a Nand backup and experimented with a few roms. I then decided to go back to my Eris_Official by flashing my Nand Backup that I had created. The issue I am having is that after flashing my Nand backup, my battery is draining at unimaginable speed. On a full charge, I only get 3-4 hours before it dies. And that is without even using the phone. and it takes almost 8 hours to charge it to full again. I then have to resort to flashing a fresh rom and starting all over. I love knowing that I have a full backup of my system but it is almost useless if it is going to drain the battery that fast.

Anyone else experience this?

My backup was overclocked and stable. I checked after flashing nand backup and the settings were exactly where they were when the backup was made.

If you are asking if I overclocked the the most recent fresh install, then yes also. I set my SetPCU to the same settings every time I have had to flash a fresh rom. Always been stable.

My guess is that one of your syncs is stuck. It could be confused because you went back in time, so to speak. Try clearing data for Gmail Storage (Settings>Applications>Manage applications>Gmail Storage>Clear data) and see if that helps. Maybe also clear calendar data, but I can't remember the exact app name for that.

Yep; they can sort of freewheel and not even show the notification that it's going on.

I had that happen with EE3 early on.

I just took out all data in Calendar, gmail data and storage and the pop email I was using.

Nestor,

Would a stuck syncing process be obvious by monitoring via System Panel or some such utility?
