Anyone running "Missed Call" App?

I'm using it because currently, the default vibrate for sms is far too short, and I'm missing my text messages ALL the time.

So I have the app, works great, but my problem is that Missed Call also puts a notification in my tray for each text message. Now, I like the default notification of Android, and want to turn off the notification tray piece of Missed Call.

Anyone know how? It's driving me nuts.

In the Missed Call app uncheck the Status Icon ... so that it doesn't show in the Notification Bar ...

It is unchecked.

I don't mean the status icon telling you that the app is running.

I mean everytime I get a text message, I get TWO notifications in my tray.
One from the Missed Call app saying I have txt message X from Y, and one from the Android OS.

The missed call notification is ugly. It doesn't use your contacts, just shows the number the text came from, and is in small italicized fonts. Horrible.

Don't use it if you don't like it.

It does give you a warning when you try to add the SMS service notification that you have to disable the phone's default notification for SMS/MMS, else you will get two notifications. I don't really see a way to get part of one and part of another though.
