Root *WIP* [THEME] "No Name" v0.72a.1 (CM 6.0.0)

Themeing this for CyanogenMod-6.0.0-Droid-RC1

Never done this before, but I am trying. For me, its a slow process. Hehe. I am not adding an update yet, just wanted to show some screens, possibly get some feedback.

So far:

Settings.apk - 85%
Framework-res.apk - 75%
GMail.apk - 25%

To do: Wow. A lot. Heh.

You may wonder why I bounce around.... I just see something that I want to change, and my mind cannot stop until it is.

The only reason these two above are shown like this is because the forums here wouldn't attach them without being resized.

**Thanks to cole20444 for boot animation image**
**CyanogenMod for ROM**

I actually like the look of the Droid's stock theme so the white notification bar works for me but I don't like the rounded edges. Also, the debugging roach has got to go *vomits*

Overall, it looks outstanding thus far far. Really unique...unlike anything I've seen thus far (in terms of icon selection for things like airplane mode etc).

About 95% done with Gmail.apk

Here is the result:

gmailapkpic.png

The "MORE" and "SEND" button are not themed. They are not in the gmail.apk, so I will have to wait until I come across them to skin them. [Possibly MMS one.]

I have also changed the roach image... haha. Not sure if this will do or not, but here it is:

Hope you like.

Also, if anyone could clue me in on which file to edit to change the notification to either all white, or all black, or pink, hell, I don't care... just cannot figure out which file it is.

For UBRocked.....

Should it be all black, or all white?

If it stays black, I am going to lower the transparency of the CM image in the background... want it to almost look like a faint watermark. Its much brighter on the phone than that pic gives it credit for.

What to you mean by "Should it be all black or all white"?

I can tell you that I really like what I'm seeing in that pic! The CyanogenMod "watermark" is very cool not to mention unique :)

Notification bar... my apologies.

Either way, the "watermark" will work with either color....

Well, for my money...I'd say go with the black one. Many other users may want the white one. You could provide several different color variations and become a really popular guy ;) You could take that a step further and then make the selection colors (when you click on a button or icon) and other elements match each color notification bar.

I'm not trying to create work for you and have little idea of how involved making those changes would be and then putting out different versions...just spitballin to give you some ideas.

Seriously...looks really good and I would be glad to "give it a run" when you have it completed.

This is definitely looking good.

I really *really* need to learn how to theme images and such - I have a great idea for a theme but have no image manipulation skills...

There are some really good looking icons out there in the world that would make our DROIDs come alive, and you've seem to have found a good number of them....

Always been a fan of Everaldo's Crystal icon sets, and I like what you're doing here and where you're going.

Any chance on specific color themes? As in an all blue / all green (as opposed to mixing colors like that), or else a chance for users to request which colors are used where?

(I know, I know, I am asking a lot of you esp. as it is your first one, but I am thinking in terms of future plans, not necessarily immediate plans)....
