Medal of Honor Beta

So, just found out if you pre-order the Medal of Honor game thats due out this fall you get a beta invite key to play the multi player beta online.

I'm thinking about going to Gamestop to plop down my $5 just to get the beta. If I decide I don't like the gameplay on it then I can apply that $5 to any other games coming out lmao.

Thoughts? I really havent paid any attn to the Medal of Honor series as of late...

The new MoH reminds me of a cross between CoD4: MW2 graphics and Bad Company gameplay.

Nope. Rumor has it that it's only available right now on the PS3 but coming out later on this summer for the 360.

The beta is on PC and PS3. It's awful, don't waste your money. It's worse than MW2, and yes, they actually set the bar lower.

No recoil at all, people are bullet sponges, lag lag lag, and boring, repetitive gameplay. I cancelled my pre-order immediately after playing the beta. It's that bad. Stick with Bad Company 2, that game is amazing.

The Medal of Honor game is a beta. Things will change, I assure you that. The graphics are better and clearer and more realistic than MW2. I'm playing it on a PC and I have the graphics jacked all the way up. Sure, I seem to be a bullet magnet and everyone else seems to be a sponge, but then again, I suck at fps's. (I could wreck in an rpg) The gameplay and leveling system seem to be better than MW2(because you get good gear at low levels and you get DIFFERENT gear at high levels(and you don't have to deal with those damn attachments(or perks))). The gameplay is slow and repetive because there are two maps, like 8 weapons and two gametypes. That's because it's only a fraggin' beta!

The Bad Company 2 beta was a great example of how BC2 turned out. I was hooked from the beginning. This is just awful. I'd say what I hate the most is that I can go full auto on an AK and the muzzle doesn't rise whatsoever, the guns are all basically lasers. Then on top of that every time you get a kill a huge "+10" flies up in the middle of the screen. They try to market it as competitive and serious, but it just feels like a poor rip off of MW2. I really despise MW2 and InfinityWard, but I'd much rather play that game than MOH. The only saving grace this game might have is that the single player is being developed by a different company and might actually be decent. We'll see when it comes out, but there's no way I'm going to commit to spending $60 on a PC game when it's this bad from the get go. Again, going off how the BC2 beta was compared to the final, I feel I can safely assume that since the beta is shit, the final game will be as well.

Sorry to say, but DICE may have a total flop here.

I don't play any FPS on the PC. Only play FPS on my 360. I prefer thumbsticks over WSAD keys.

To me, FPS on the PC is easier. And if you want true hardcore competitive FPS on the PC, get Crysis and play it. Crysis 2 is coming out for the consoles yes. Yes it will be the same gameplay, but I will laugh at my friends that get it for the console as they pale in my epic graphical acheivements! I'm osrry, but Crysis on the console is a sin.

I suppose it's purely preferential. Back in the day before the original xbox, I played all my FPS games on the PC (Rainbow Six series, etc..) but now I like having my controller over the keyboard.

By the way, Crysis sucks now lol.
