I would think that the most logical thing would be to accept telesales today so that with the free one day shipping it would arrive tomorrow.

Just tried and ext 9526 was a woman.....and she said no, not available for order until tomorrow.

Over at AndroidCentral some have claimed to get this to work. I too attempted to call, but was told that a) My NE2 wasn't active until tomorrow (I figure I can wait another 10+ hours for another $100 off and b) The device isn't actually released until tomorrow, so even if I were to order it today, they couldn't ship it until tomorrow.

Please be aware! These "orders" are not actually being placed until SOMETIME tomorrow morning. I spoke with five of these reps from this number. They work normal business hours, so they are taking your info now then putting them threw when they come in. One Guy told me he dosent come in till 11. No thanks, ill call back at midnight, and actually get my order placed. Think of how many orders they are writing down, how much you wanna bet they forget to put one thru?

I can confirm this as well. After my first failed attempt, I called back a few more times and managed to speak to two reps who informed me that I could be put on their personal order list, but my order wouldn't actually be placed until they began their shift and the time was dependent on where I was on their list.

Like Hugh said, I'd rather try my luck for an online order than have to potentially wait until mid-afternoon for my order to be placed.

Ive resigned my self to the fact that hopefully a VZW csr will call me back as promised to place my order. I wont give in to the mass confusion and hype over the X, Im just as excited as the next person over this phone but its starting to get a bit silly IMHO. If I get it by the 16th no biggie if not no biggie either. Im just looking forward to getting the phone & I did call that # out of curiosity and the csr said you'll have to wait until Thursday, so Im done with this.

Think I will just wait until midnight tonight, check the website and when it becomes available, order it. That way I KNOW that the order gets placed ASAP because I AM THE ONE THAT PLACED IT!

I just tried as well, and the rep did try to find it in the system but ended up telling me to call in the morning. I did get her to place a note on my account that i was eligible for the early upgrade. I know it's common knowledge but some reps still might try to give you the runaround over it tomorrow.

In a way it's sad that the csr's do not know what is going on with a company they work for. My rep told me I could not upgrade to the x until August. He was unaware that Verizon was going to run a early upgrade promotion. I directed him to the press release on the VZW website.

If one orders tonight @ midnight the date will be 7/15/10....which the oder will be processed and YES...delivered tomorrow on 7/16/10.

I know that has to make those CSR feel pretty dumb when a customer knows more than they do about the promotions going on @ VZW.
