How long does it take to revert contract on a returned phone?

Long story Short : Incredible defective, only option not involving waiting forever was to return phone and order droid x on the 15th. The warehouse has had the phone for 2 days. No money has been received. The new contract which they swore they would return to its previous status has not been altered in anyway.

When will I be able to order a droid x? This is ridiculous. I wait a month for a phone, get only to find it horribly defective, return it, and now I have been billed and given data for a phone Verizon currently has?! What is this crap?

I spent a long time on the phone this morning with a rep about this same issue - mailed my Inc on 7/7, tracked it and it arrived at the warehouse on 7/9. No change on my NE2 until today, so I called. He had me on hold forever but then said it was "taken care of" even though no change visibly on the web page. I haven't checked $$ yet. He also said that to facilitate the purchase of the X on Thursday he'd issue a $50 credit to take the place of the NE2 discount, and would order the phone for me on Thursday morning. I don't know if I trust that, but I'll contact him on Thurs - I have his email address. Sheesh, so many different stories. VZW really has to get its act together. Oh, he also explained that in my case it was a problem because I had returned 2 phones - the LG Chocolate (awful "touch screen"), then the inc. Sounds like there's a limit to the number of returns?

I just called and bitched a fit. Supervisor of the CSR is doing a direct requisition order and should be fixed by tomorrow. Guess it just takes a lot of bitching to get something straight :p

I was afraid I'd be waiting til the next billing cycle and be stuck ordering another backordered phone.

Same here, went through 2 incredibles and the woman said she would reset my contract extension immediately. I went home nothing contract expiration date 8/2012. Called the store and some other person said they cannot do it and to call customer service, I called verizon and they said they cannot do it and only the warehouse can do it, I start blacking out what does the warehouse have to do with contracts. After a few more days still no change so I wrote an email to verizon and the woman who responded to my email fixed it instantly. So don't allow them tell you call this call that, they can definitely do it.

You gotta hound them on this. It took two calls for me to straighten this out when I returned the Dinc. Sorry.

Been going through the exact same stuff, except I never activated my phones. I did upgrade to a family plan though, and while my line still is correct the 2nd line which has never been activated still shows a Droid Incredible associated with it being part of the non-existent family plan. I've called 3 times over the course of the last week and been told they'd fix it immediately. I emailed yesterday. So, here's to hoping that it will all be resolved by Thurs. However, if you hear of some maniac going on a rampage in an Atlanta, GA Verizon store, you'll know it was me.

LOL

After the forced manual requisition which would update my account by the end of the day, I am still waiting. He promised me it would be done yesterday. It hasn't.

Compensation time tbqh. I guess I'm going to have to call back and talk to their supervisor.

Funny thing is, it's under a family plan of which the primary line is a Verizon employee! This is how they treat other CSRs. I can't imagine how they treat normal paying customers. FFS if I didn't receive a discount I would surely leave Verizon after this bs.

I was also assured that if I returned the inc last week, which I did, and it was received this monday, which it was, I would have no problems being able to order a Droid X on thursday.

got my check back yesterday for a phone they shipped and recalled on the 29th... so Id say about 7-14 days from when they get the phone back at the warehouse..I understand them needing to check out the device returned. They really need a way to speed that service up. Although, two weeks isn't bad for not doing it in person. I was told it could take up to one complete billing cycle and fussed a bit about that.

I returned my Droid via Fed Ex on the 9th they got it on the 12th. The lady I originally spoke to before I returned the Droid told me she noted the account but I would have to call to order instead of going online. After reading these posts I called yesterday and spoke to a great CSR. I explained I was a new individual account on my girlfriend's account which she has had since they were Bell. She told me she would reset it no problem. I went on line and looked and not only did she fix it so I get the new customer pricing I also get the $50 extra off! Not to mention I will be getting a $75 one time credit on my first bill for being added to her account so I will be basically paying $75 for the Droid X! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
