Watch Movies on Droid?

OK so I've read through the forum topic

I'm not sure if it was just too technical for me but I need a simple answer. Is there an easy way for me to download movies and watch them on my droid?

Free or not, I'm looking for an iTunes like solution?

Trying to get a few movies on the Droid before my 4 hour flight tomorrow.

Doubletwist doesn't help because it doesn't convert the iTunes m4V files so they can be played on the Droid. The question really is is there an iTunes-like product through which you can easily buy movies and TV shows that can be played on your Droid as well as your computer? You can still get music through iTunes as the music is now DRM free, but video is a different story. The ease and convenience of iTunes and it's seamless compatibility with the iPhone are what I will miss most about the iPhone (AT&T's network being what I will miss the least).

Just drag and drop to card. Make a file and call it movies. Go to the apps store and download astro. Then all you have to do is open astro find the file named " movies" and you'll see a list of the movies you dropped in the file and select the movie and it will pay. Make sure the movies are in mp4 format. If the file has an .m4v that's OK cause once you have the movie in the folder you can change it to mp4 by press/hold the actual movie file and select rename.

Maybe I'm missing the point, but who really has the time to watch an entire movie on their phone? Yea, it's a nice feature, but how often do you sit around with over an hour of free time to kill?

Yea, and that's one of the few occasions where I see the feature being worthwhile... plane/train/boat rides... any others?

I have never had time to watch an entire movie except on a flight, in which case it was quite nice to have my own entertainment.

But I watch bits of them all the time while killing time if I have to wait for my kids when I'm giving them a ride from somewhere, or kill time in other situations.

My favorites are actually Family Guy episodes...

Well if its worthwhile for you guys, have fun with it. I think I'll keep that kind of stuff on my netbook. Between Pandora, Google Listen, and Google Reader I've got more than enough to keep me occupied during brief idle time.

This is the way to do it...I tried it and now it works. However, there is a delay from when you change the file type...you need to get out of that program and then when you get back in it works.

At the gym, I watch movies on my phone all the time when I'm using a bike/treadmill/elliptical machine.

I've encoded using Handbrake using the instructions from the other thread (at 800, 600, and 300 avg. bitrate) and every time I play it on the Droid it stutters. I've played it using the default player and the free version of Act 1, but it always stutters.

Suggestions?

I work at Boeing so I have a lot of free time lol no but I play family guy on my droid at work a lot cause its something you can listen to and get a laugh out of without having to watch it. Ive "seen" every family guy episode numerous times by now though, sad I know.

Seeing as how Handbrake just updated to a new version yesterday, I am keen on trying out the new version to see if it has any UI / backend improvements directly related for maknig video smrat phone compatible....

I use Handbrake on my Mac and I rip a DVD and convert it using the "iPod" preset. That's what I was doing when watching them on my iPod Classic. Copied the same files over to the movies folder on my Droid, though, and they look fantastic on there as well.

If Handbrake doesn't work out, I've used Mediacoder for other things and it works fine. plus it's free.

I watch movies on my phones all the time.

I watch them when running on an eliptical machine...
I watch them while taking long car rides averaging one a week...
I watch them every night at work pulling 13 hour graveyard shifts in the hospital where nothing happens and I can watch easily 3 to 4 movies a night.

Nothing like getting paid a sh1tload of money to sit on my ass watching movies or listening to music.

i use handbrake with the iphone preset setting...pop your movie in handbrake let it do its magic and the voila make you a movie folder on your sd card for your phone and put your movie there

I unfortunetly have a job where i sit at a desk all night and don't do anything except debrief flight crews and put maintenance jobs into the computer so i have time to watch movies and tv.

Ok so I have no access to cpu but I paid for movie download in the market thinkin it was going to have a site I can go on on my phone but it doesn't. I emailed the dev and he said he is puttin a list together any ideas or help u can also email me at. Jlowlyfe@gmail.com
