why am i not getting any facebook/my space notifications??

Iv'e always gotten Facebook/ My Space Notifications on my blackberry storm. For everything, wall posts, comments on status updates, etc...

but for some reason on my droid doesnt do that..




any help would be much appreciated

This is a just a basic app thrown together for 2.0. Just wait it out, annoying as that will be, and the updates will come. I'm sure they are working on this to get it up to BB status.

One would assume so. I remember the facebook and myspace apps being like this when they first started. I have since defected from myspace, so not sure what it's like now. I do know that the facebook app for FB was like this when it came out and rapidly evolved into what it is now. Seeing as FB and myspace apps are a huge draw, I would expect a steady series of updates to 'one-up" the one's for BB and iPhone.

I'm not sure I agree with that, except the notifications part. Before the Droid I was a BB user for 10 years and Facebook for BB, IMHO, had a horible interface. You could NEVER see the same friends in FB for BB as you did in web-based FB.

One of the biggest problems it still has is say you have 500 friends but only want to really follow 20 of them. In FB (web) those 20 are all you see. In FB for BB you still get all 500, and you have to load about 30 pages successively to see all of them. Totally awful and RIM knows about this.

At least with FB for Android 2.0 I see EXACTLY what I see on web-based FB...which to me anyway, is important. I can check it a few times a day and not miss a thing.

If that suits you, that's fine. This app is what the beginning one was on BB when it came out. You cannot message, use chat, receive notifications, etc. You are the minority that actually likes this app, and sorry to say, you will be disappointed when it upgrades. I would just say don't upgrade when it comes out. I am SO looking forward to what I had on the BB, and even more! I basically want to not have to go on to the computer to check FB if I dont need to. I currently have to do that because this app is way too basic.
