O2 apn settings

im having a hell of a lot of problems with my o2 apn i also seem to noty be r ecieving all texes that are sent to me, does anyone have the correct apn settings i should use? thanks

Mobile Web

Name: O2 Mobile Web
APN: mobile.o2.co.uk
UserName: web
Password: web
MCC: 234
MNC: 10
APN Type: default

And Post Pay,

Name: O2 Post Pay
APN: wap.o2.co.uk
UserName: o2wap
Password: password
MMSC: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002
MMS Proxy: 193.113.200.195
MMS Port: 8080
MCC: 234
MNC: 10

what is the difference between post pay and mobile web?
is post pay 'pay as you go'
and mobile web 'pay monthly'?

No, Post pay means pay monthly.

You need both. mobile web is internet only, post pay is MMS.

That is what o2 inform us it should be. I have read various posts on the net stating that some apns are faster, but I'm not sure this is true.

I'm in the middle of adding a2sd and flashing a new ROM when it's done I'm going to try and change username and password to see if it makes a difference. One of the reasons I rooted was because my reception is so bad, hoping the radio will improve it!

Hey man . these settings dont work on my phone atall.

Have you got Irish o2 MMS APN settings ? as i updated my i5700 and i have no default APN settings.

Those settings are for the HTC Desire only,i had a look for settings on the o2 website but could not find any,i would suggest you have a look on the i5700 board for an answer to your problem,

i tried that and when i saved it nothing saved again. i have done this several times with all different settings and all have failed epically . just a blank screen appears like originally.

I`m rooted ( had the same issues before root )
o2 pay monthly UK. The only rom I`ve had mms work correctly is Devillain.
ANy other i`ve tried I just can`t send ( sometimes receive ) mms messages.

Really annoying..
Reading that you only need one APN for the Desire..
Someone else says you need both...
Ive used the settings from the o2 Desire website... they don`t work on my current rom

Works a treat for me on AdamG's Official Sense Froyo ROM.
