Anyone else waiting for your store to open right now? It's currently 5:30am and my store opens @ 7. Looks like I'm 2nd in line which is good because I'm hoping to be in and out rather quick so I can get to work.....and play mith my X! Lol

So yeah, as I pull up in my car (kinda loud GTO with a cam and open headers) I see a head pop up in a truck a few spaces over. Looks as if this guy has spent the night in his truck. I think he's back to sleeping now. Lol


Anyway, who's with me this morning?

I was in my underwear when I bought my Droid X at 2am this morning.

I got up early just to head to the store, but didn't wanna take the chance of the early upgrade not working in-store, so I called and got my X ordered with priority overnight. Will have my X by 10:30 tomorrow morning for $100 less than getting it in the store.

I've been in my car outside my VZW store since 7am. Im the only person in line so far and the store opens up at 8am. I really want to go get a bite to eat but Droid is more important right now haha.

Just got back to my computer after the midnight release...Have fun guys (and girls!) And hopefully some of your stores will give out docks, etc. (mine gave out water bottles, so not a total loss!)

I just drove by the local store on the way to work and there was not one single person waiting and it's in a major city. I will swing by on my lunch break.

At least the OP was self-aware to appreciate the schmuck level for getting up super-early for a product they would have no problem getting hours later.

I do believe VZW is concerned about sales, considering the last second, poorly planned, $100 32gb microsd deal- that not many if any stores appear to have in stock.

None of the local corporate stores in the Lexington area were even aware of the deal.

My store was opening at 8:00, but those of us with appointments got in early. (You had to print out or show them your email notification on your phone to get in.) My apt. was at 6:30. When I walked out around 7:00 (?), there were two men outside waiting in line.

I actually think that this will be a really big launch, at least for the 3 stores in my area.

Store 2 - 70/80
Store 3 - 30-35/40

Those were just people on this list when I called lastnight out of curiosity.

I don't think those VZ stores are worried at all.

I was first in line at the Center City Store in Philadelphia. Got there about 6:00 a.m. and the store opened promptly at 8:00 a.m. In and out in about 15 minutes, even got a free water bottle and bungle cord hook! This is a sweet phone by the way!
