I voted for Sense on my incredible but LauncherPro is a close second. The only thing i've noticed is that my CBS news and Weatherbug widgets don't update. Not sure if it has something to do with having them on the HTC sense home screen too.

I've tried a handful of the others and the rest are way behind these two.

Can I load my Sense UI theme onto Launcher Pro or do I have to manually put all my widgets and programs on each page.

I downloaded Launcher Pro and switched to it - I don't have 7 screens.What actions change it to 7? I need all 7 :)

I read a couple reviews stating Launcher Pro drains battery more than Sense. Is this bogus or plausible?

I use Weatherbug Elite and it updates just fine.

I've used GDE since launch.

Had tried LauncherPro early on and switched out. Went back to LP for a week (until yesterday) but encountered multiple force closes, and the functionality for customizing icons was cumbersome.

In contrast, when running GDE I had forgotten what a FC looked like (can't recall having gotten a single one during all that time). The customization of any icon is simple long-press. I really like being able to add docks to the home screen itself instead of the bottom.

Zero lag, my Quadrant scores are identical with/without it running.

If you're looking for a trouble free launcher with all the trimmings (rotation enabled home screens, full customization, app docks, etc) you owe it to yourself to check it out.

FWIW, the most common complain is that it hasn't been updated since March. I consider that a pro, however, as during all that time I haven't encountered an issue needing a fix...

Bought GDE when I had my Eris but have not run it on the Incredible yet, but I noticed shorter battery life with GDE on the Eris. Any noticeable battery issues on the Incredible?

Not at all...

I'm away from my Inc a the moment, but I can say that this AM, when reviewing the history via System Panel plotted by app, GDE was in the lower 1/3 of all apps consuming power. IIRC, only Youtube (which I used for a few minutes), Call Confirm and (I believe) Dialer were actual apps beneath GDE in consumption - the rest were all minor system processes.

I run a 2150 battery, now, but easily make it from 6AM one day until bedtime the NEXT day (usually around 40 hrs) when I plug it back in with a little charge remaining.

Last week when I was trying out LP again, I got a little less life outta my batt - but I was using it pretty heavily so that's not a fault of LP.

I really can't say enough good about GDE. Smooth, Lag Free, completely DEVOID of force closes, by far the easiest customization of any launcher I've used thus far.

(FWIW, my wife is a technophobe, but after playing with GDE on my Inc, she now runs it on her Droid and has had zero issues. I'm certain of this because if her phone makes a funny noise or flashes a message that ain't an SMS she runs to me with it... ;) )
