Help how long does it take to charge the battery?

quick update..

Since the X only reports in increments of 10%, it seems like its charging slowly.

But in actuality the X charges fine.

oddness here...

went from 60% to shutdown *very* quickly while sitting on the counter doing nothing...display off.

plugged it into a car charger on the 15min drive home and it says 70% now.

i'm gonna give it a few days of cycling before i put any faith in the reported power levels.

I just clapped my hands like a little girl, it just got done charging.

I'm having the same problem. The battery will drop from 50-60 percent to nothing very quickly. Once you charge it up to 10%, when you turn the phone on, all of a sudden it says its charged to 60% again.

I took it in to verizon and they replaced the battery, it didn't help.

The new battery is doing the same thing. Is this something they can fix with an update, or do you think we need to exchange our phones?

I'm experiencing the same battery issues. Today mine dropped from 30% to completely dead. I charged it for ten minutes, then when I booted it I was at 50%.

I think it may be the battery read issue... (software)...what mine did is it was at like 50%, then I saw that the battery meter was red...so I rebooted and then it was at 40%...it keeps fluctuating...

I have another issue with charging though...I plugged it in to PC to charge right now...took a few tries before it finally shows charging...so when I initially plugged it in, the notification light was green, then it turned to red (I would say ok, battery low)...well after charging for a little, the notification light turned off completely, but battery shows as still charging... Is this a normal behavior? Thanks!

Mine has been having similar issues, I plugged it in last night (I saw the charging symbol) and when I woke up it was at 40%. I charged it for about 15 minutes and it was at 70%. While I was at work it went from 50-30% in about 10 minutes and two minutes later my phone shut off and when I plugged it back in it said 0%..... It seems like a software issue, so hopefully it gets fixed with a software update.

Got the X last night, played with it a lil, charged it on mylaptop, and today it deid. I went to get myphonebook transferred over and they couldnt charge it. Now Im at home trying to charge it on my laptop and it wont powere on at all.

How long from it being fully dead does it take to charge? Do I hold the button down or just need to press it once to power it on?
