For those of you using Launcher Pro

I was going through the preferences looking for anything to tweak. I came across an option "Homescreen cache type" under the memory usage preset. I noticed mine was set to normal. I flipped it to compressed and now I think my page transitions are loading smoother.

I also changed my memory usage to high which seems to help my landscape transitions. I used to get a nasty bug where the screen preview would get stuck in the upper left corner until I pressed the home button. Now that I have the home button set to bring down the status bar I have yet to run into that problem.

Setting the home button to bring down the status bar work's great with full screen support. It gives you just that extra bit of screen space without loosing functionality.

If you have any tips for running launcher pro on your evo post em here!

Here's another tip. This one took me a minute to figure out. If you want to change the icon for the app drawer the icons have to be loaded to your sd card. When using Folder Organizer/Better Cut there doesn't seem to be a shortcut to the app drawer so you have to use the built in short cut in LP.

The problem is it only gives you the option of browsing your sd card. Icon packs you download from the Market will be stored in the internal memory therefore you wont have access to them. They must be downloaded straight to the sd card or moved over from a PC. If there is an easier way I sure would like to know, but this is the method I used to change it.

Easy peasy. Download the APK to your PC, change the .apk extension to .zip, and unzip it. In the res/drawable folder, are the images in ALL icon packs =D Simply load up the images you want into a folder, and drop it on your SD.

There is a way to do this through root explorer too.

Awesome, man. I was getting really sick of using ADW. Kept FCing on me and I'm so used to LP.

Thanks again!
