Hello-I just got the Droid and I'm completely new to Android. I think I accidentally deleted an icon that might have been called the music resume widget (?). Now, neither the Android factory music player or Tunewiki seem to have the ability to resume a track where I left off if I pause a track and return to the home screen. I've searched the forums but can't find anything. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks. Jon

I'm not using a task killer I don't think. I assume it's some kind of app.

As things are now I can't leave the player and come back and start where the track left off.

Any ideas about this or the "lost" resume feature? I seem to recall that when a track was playing, there would be a window-shade drop down item while it was playing but now it goes away when I pause a track.

Window Shade drop down? When? I have been playing with music over the last few minutes and I have never seen one.

Have you restarted your phone? Did you install another music player that might be interfering?

Right now it sounds to me as if something is stopping the music player when you leave the program. The trick is figuring out what.

On mine there's a white bar across the top with lots of icons. The manual calls this a "Window Shade" (you may know it as something else. If not-when there's an icon on the left of the top bar, it means there's a notification. If you touch the bar and brush down the alerts appear.)

When I'm playing a song, there's a triangular "play" triangle there on the left and if I pull down the notification it shows the song. If you touch that notification it takes you to the player screen.

My player resumes just fine. Not sure where you went wrong in terms of deleting an icon though. The only icon I have is the player icon (blue and black speaker) which is pulled straight from the app screen. I don't think you could have deleted anything that would alter the stock applications in that way, the phone won't let you.

If you just hit the music icon again after returning to the home screen, there should be a link on the bottom of the page that will take you straight to the song you were listening to with position remembered.

OK, I understand where you are at now but I'm still not understanding what you think you deleted. Once you pause the player the icon in the notification bar disappears. So there won't be an any thing to tap on in the Window Shade.

The only other icon for the music player is the speaker icon as mentioned by dmgabe.

My player also picks up where I left off unless I close the process by using a task killer.
