Rooted htc desire

So i have rooted my htc desire and installed a version of 2.2 on there but it did not run smooth kept faulse closeing on me and did not let me do much. so i have seem a couple of videos of people with os 2.2 on there htc desire and it seems to run smooth with no lag and everything seems to be working ok. so i was just wondering what is the best version of the os 2.2 is best to put on your htc desire. What version are you running on your rooted phone and have u had any problems with your. thanks for your help

Just gone to the new DeFrost rom(2.1) . Seems really stable to me. Not found any bugs at the minute and running really fast. I tried the adamg rom earlier, didn't feel as smooth as this.

i was watchign a video on youtube and there seems to be a version with the sence UI aswell witch seems to be running fast and no problems well that is what people have said do u no what rom that would be ?

What can you do with sense ui again? I've been using launcher pro for a while now and can't remember what sense has got. I don't think this rom has got sense but I might be wrong.

I have tried most of the new ROMS today with sense and that one seems the best.

Tried that rom earlier and didn't get on too well. Might have another go tomorrow when I've got more time. Had all sorts of issues and gave up a bit too easily.

i had some issues too in the end most solved. helped doing a complete wipe off data and then doing a factory reset once installed. alot of it was just trial and error, i put the newest radio version on also

Hmm. I have Defrost latest version (2.0g at time of writing) installed too, but am getting marginally different results (see screenie below). Why might this be? Number of widgets? The fact I'm running SetCPU (which will allow full pelt here) or Juice Defender?

most of the sense 2.2 roms i have tried scored about that amount, my current one scores half way between the N1 and the Moto Shadow. You can score higher with the vanilla 2.2 rom but id rather have the sense version

Just updated - better (1277), but still not as fast as yours.

i ran this test on adamg's open desire 2.2 w sense (1.0c) and got 1199 followed by 1284 about a minute apart... make of that what you will

i am running [ROM-FroYo] Official Froyo HTC Sense ROM (16/07 v1.0c | OpenDesire Team) - xda-developers and i am trying to put all my apps back on the phone but keeps saying not enough space so then i try to put some of the apps on the sd card but it is not showing that i can do that can any one help me with this?

The .08 one? Yup. Did you use the stock CPU speed kernel or an OC one?

Try looking at it through a video camera.

Prob the light or proximity sensor chucking out infra-red.

Kboya has already given you your answer in post #4. I have this ROM running, and my whole experience so far has been better than my 2.1, granted i have only been running it since lunch time but still, you just know don't you.....

im using the MCR r5 rom which isnt scoring quite as high as the defrost on quadrant is still extremely quick and it seems to have the least bugs from all of the roms. For me its as stable as the original factory software
