anyone using darchdroid v2.7?

anyone using darchdroid v2.7? im wondering if everything works with this rom? i've only used fresh roms since i've rooted my phone so im not really sure what overclock underclock setcpu and all that is... im just kind of interested in the stock android setup so im looking into darchdroid. if you are currently using this rom any feedback will be appreciated. thanks.

I believe it is fully functional and is one of the most popular roms right now. That said, you don't even have to tinker with the overclock as its built into the kernel.

I have been running 2.7 since it came out. It seems to work pretty well. Very smooth and no issues that I have come across.

I tested it a little bit it seems to be working just fine. Running darch's 2.2 atm, might as well run that, battery life is better and everything works except the camera preview.

is there any lag like keyboard lag or anything like that?

The only real keyboard lag I get is with handcent when replying to a quick message (the one that pops up on screen). Otherwise, no lag for me.

hey ccapasso, how do i install the recovery image as darch instructed to do so? sorry i've only used fresh rom so i dont know what that means. so far i've wiped and flashed the darchdroid 2.7 rom but i haven't done anything else like flash the googleshits. what is in the googleshits anyways? i have no idea. please help thanks!

You do not have to install that recovery image. I am running RA 1.6.2 with no problems.

You will not have the market place or any other "google" apps until you flash the "google shitz" that he has there.

Correct, you are already rooted, you do not have to install that recovery image.

car home
google goggles
amazon mp3 store
google talk
google voice

i cannot find them under the uninstaller. do i have to pull or remove the adks? can you please give me directions on how to do so. thank you ccapasso

Currently still running Darch2.7. As for removing those apps, you will remove them using adb. It is the same concept as pushing/pulling, but with different commands.

Basically you would do the following:

adb remount
adb shell
cd /system/app/
ls (*Note, this will show you what all is in the current directory you are in)
rm nameofapk.apk

That is it. Hope that makes sense for ya.

ccapasso, do you know how i can get my visual voicemail back? you probably know already that when you get a voicemail you get both a sms text and a vm notification. i read on xda to get rid of the sms text notification, i was suppose to call the number that was on the sms text which was 408-970-0000 and after the prompt to press 2. well i accidently pressed #1 and now i dont get any visual voicemail notifications at all. just a sms text telling me i have a voicemail. now i have to call that number everytime i want to check my voicemail. please let me know if this can be fixed. thanks!

I see that you fixed your VVM. Good to hear. I have been using google voice for a while now and haven't had to worry about Sprint VVM.

Can't update prl from an aosp rom, that's the one benefit of using Dense UI, you can update all that from it.

i have never used the prl index as my prl is able to update. i just happen to see that on xda.
