So way back, when the first leak was released for the eris, I jumped the gun, and installed... only to hear that a s-off rom was leaked wat a week later? so i kept installing the leaks, all the way to v3, but never did the RUU update or anything. Went into verizon for a crack underneath my screen. They said there would be a new phone at my house about 3 days later. It showed up. It has an hboot of 1.49.0000 and comes in a box stating it is a certified like-new phone. yea, fancy way of saying, piece of crap refurb that we couldn't even downgrade. So i decided to finally try and root my phone with the new package that has been released for us leakers. I'm on a mac, i ran the first package option of sh runinlinuxadb.sh & it worked! I was in shock! started flashing new roms, deleting apk's that i didn't want. the whole 9 yards. but then, i was reading that i should really switch it over to the regular root file, because it's more stable and such, so i did so, and then i new, from that, people had been unrooting, and returning to stock hboot 1.47.0000... and ya kno what!? my once leaked phone, that was then rooted, which was then bricked at 1 point (oops) and then re-rooted, was back to it's good-ole stock self... and i thought to myself. i'm 16 years old. i've never even worked with adb b4 but hell why not give it a shot. and i managed to do all of this. yet the refurb sent to my house today, has and hboot of 1.49.000... i'm sending it back anyway because i don't want a refurb, but i'm debating about downgrading the hboot and attaching a little note when i send it back that says, your welcome
