Hello,

I have two problems with the calendar on my Moto Droid.

The first is that the calendar is not searchable. Does anyone know a way to do this? I like to be able to search my calendar into the future and in the past.

The second problem, is things are being dropped off my calendar.

Someone please help before I throw this thing.

Thanks,

Jb99fan.

To search in calendar Just make sure you are in the calendar app (not the widget display) and just tap the search button (lower right corner)

as for "things dropping off" do you mean you see it and then it disappears before your very eyes? Or it was once there and when you go back to check it's gone? Or It's on your computer, but when you check your phone it's not there?

Hope this clarifies.

Having a different issue with google calender. My droid no longer syncs with my google calender.
Before, if I added something on the computer or the droid, it would show up on the other in just a few minutes. No longer.

However, if I put something on my google calender, I'll get the reminder message on my droid, but the info isn't on the droid. Do I need to reset something?

Hi Jason, that does not work. It searches my contacts, then searches the web. For example, I type in the word "Armstrong" while in calendar on my phone, and it searches and finds my contacts; then gives me results for Armstrong flooring. Am I missing something? Please explain what you mean by "in the calendar app, not the widget". I dont understand the difference.

As for things dropping off my calendar; I mean that I have a daily reminder at 8am and it worked for a while; but then stopped. The event is on my gmail calendar with the reminder alert; but it does not get to my phone.

Thank you for your help.

As far as I can tell, everything is syncing except for this one repeating event. My sync is set to "automatic".

Many people install widgets (look up the term if you are unfamiliar) on their phone to give quick access overview of their schedule. I'm guessing you don't have a widget for calendar since you were unfamiliar with the term.

Can you supply a couple of pics of what is happening? You don't need to do the screen grab method, just grab a camera and shoot your screen.

Hi Jason, sorry for my delays in responding. I appreciate your trying to help me out. Can you explain how I can do this?

Thank you,

Jeff

Hello, I am back. Verizon replaced my Droid with another Droid. The issue with the events not getting to my phone is resolved with the new phone. Unfortunately, I still cannot search the calendar. It does not work on my wifes Droid either. I'll try that Power Search from the Market as suggested.

(G),

Thank you so much for Power Search. My wife and I can finally enjoy our Droid phones a lot more. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate it.

Why doesn't Google or Motorola have this feature built in though? I think it is a pretty basic function that everyone should want/need.

Anyway, hopefully Google is listening.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
