no its not a custom rom. it is a tool used to rool, push/pull files, backup, etc.

correct.. and it can also be used to create (cook) a custom 1.5 ROM IF you rooted while you running 1.56... Flipz was going toi add support into the Kitchen for rooting and cooking 2.1 ROM's but..... by the time Sprint released 2.1 the Evo was out and most of the Devs directed their attention towards that phone... including Flipz.. although he still does small things for the Hero it seems the kitchen has fallen off his radar..
