App for Jogging?

Off the top of my head, there's cardio trainer, and runner trainer. I'm not sure if they use the internet, I do believe there's the option to save your stuff online. But if they do it won't be very much.
If you're bothered about your MB usage, there's a nifty app called netcounter that records your usage on your mobile network and wi-fi. I've found it very useful.

SportyPal | Free tracking mobile application for all GPS enabled phones

Used this on my winmo phone and was glad they had an android version when I switched to the hero. Best FREE excersize gps tracking software out.

It does not use any data unless you happen to use the map feature to check your location on the phone I believe. As well as upload your data at the end of the workout to their webste. Has ALOT of online features.

Yes, you only use data when using the maps feature to get it from google I think. Or when you upload your trip to the website which uses very little data and takes only a few seconds.

Although in checking the website they seem to be coming out with a new "bike" version that allows you to view your position on the map on another screen. So I don't know if data will be constantly running in case you are switching between screens or only when accessing the map. However, this seems to be just for the bike version, the other version might not do that.

I suggest you check out the forums and ask around about the data just to make sure.

Thanks Mate and will do!

You're most welcome. I came across it when I was looking for something else but it's very reassuring to find out you've not used nearly as much data as you thought you had.

By the way, do you have a Hero of your very own yet?

Thanks also Mate!! No not got one at the moment!! Just doing all my homework on it first, as making sure it will do all I need. I'm a Jogger and train 5 times a week so I need an App and an arm band that will do the job for me. Everything else looks great about it to me!! And Hopefully there will be a way around sending and receiving files via Bluetooth soon, that would make it perfect!

SportyPal doesn't require any data transfer until you want to check your position on the map. Because the maps are powered from google maps it needs to be internet connected to see your map live. Either 3G, edge, or i don;t know what type of connection is there yet.
On my phone I just turn on the GPS and everything else is turned off. The only time i connect is at the end when I'm uploading my track to my profile at sportypal.com.

Is there one?

To track miles and calories ETC?

And does it take a lot out of your Internet usage?

Thanks for any Help/Replies

Renniks :):)

every application looks like similar aspects.
I don't know an amount of data transfered while we are using 3G
but, I think it is still not my consideration, than battery usage.

if you're looking for some apps for tracking route, miles, calories, levels, etc.. runmategps, endomondo, runkeeper would be your choice!
endomondo, runkeeper has simple UI, runmategps has the best sharing feature with friends.

search around more on Navi or Health&Fitness category.
