what in the world is going on, how are they giving such a great app to the iphone first, umm the g1 has the word google on the back, i mean come on, and some one please explain this to me because i am little confused, i mean i understand that google is trying to expand on to all device, computers, etc but giving a good app like this, and google earth, and voice recognition to the competition just doesn't seem logical to me? and i know what most of you are going to say stop whinning and its there company let them do what ever they want, and fine thats true but at least release these apps to us first.;)

well, I kind of started it. :p
Oops! I don't blame you though. These devices are positioned to become more userful and customizable than the iPhone has been or will ever be! And I can't wait.

I'm still waiting for an Android device with a front-facing keyboard too, kinda like a BlackBerry. That'd suit me just fine!

(I have a feeling I'll be buying a lot of Android devices... That's gonna hurt the pocketbook! I guess I won't be getting another car afterall. :( )

google probably just doesn't care which rollout happens first. they'll win either way. there's far more iphone users out there than G1 owners, so they're probably just catering to the masses. They'll get their pat on the back no matter which phone gets the app first.

I do think they should have had this application available just before the G1's launch...cause that would boost initial sales like no other. Then...they could wait a few weeks and put it into the apple app store.

But hey...I'm no google exec, I don't call the shots.

When it comes time for the G1, I wouldn't doubt if it'll come in with an OTA update rather than a download from the app store.
