I am not trying to piss people off so please dont get mad at me for these reviews, I didn't write them. It is frustrating to me to see such bad reviews after I spent money on this phone..Makes me think twice if I should just go back to my Incredible..I do like the Screen, the keyboard, stock texting, camera but I do notice some of the lag they talk about and I do miss some of the HTC widgets. After seeing these reviews and the fact that we may get Froyo soont he Incredible may be the smart choice, I will miss the big screen though..The stock Text messenger is sweet on the droid x too.

To be honest I don't know why people were so quick to jump ship on the DINC to get the X anyway. They hadn't even seen the phone and they were already assuming it was going to be the most amazing thing ever.

But then again, I NEVER buy a product at it's release date. I always wait at least a month or two so I can read reviews and user ratings and things like that. I was eligable to upgrade in March, DINC came out April 29th. I didn't order my phone until 6/19. Plently of time to get tons of reviews and user opinions on it, as well as a chance to get up to Verizon and play with one myself.

Incredible is a great phone, a lot of sites are constantly rating the incredible better. Just a shame that every comparison that comes out with numerous phones, the incredible is never included, don't know why, it is one of the most powerful devices out. And once froyo comes it will be a device to be seriously reckoned with.

I was able to spend a lot of time with a friend X over the weekend, and I am gladly keeping my Inc.
The big screen is nice, but functionally the HTC wins hands down. As a phone, the INC is much better. Calling from your contact list with the HTC dial pad is great and the X does not offer this feature.
No HTC Sense UI, no deal for me.

Hopefully the updates coming out will improve call quality and signal issues, but if not this is still the better phone.
My next phone will have to be an HTC with a 4.3" screen I suppose.

No amount of reviews or others opinions are going to tell you what is right for you. Now that you've used both phones and see the differences, it's really up to you to decide what fits your needs best. For me, its the Incredible. I like the size, the screen and overall design better than the X. But it's really personal preference.

Everyone rushed out for the bigger screen, without even giving themselves a chance to try the phone first. Some people i guess i can't blame, after being suck in Inc queue for weeks on end, it can get frustrating.

For me, a big part of the phone, is not always the hardware, but software. After using other phones, i have longed for alot of the sense features, and was totally delighted once i could get a phone with it. As we have seen, HTC managed to produce a robust UI, where as Moto really dropped a ball and botched stock 2.1.

If people like the form factor, stick with the X. Personally, i rather like sense, and am willing to wait a bit longer to get it mixed with 2.1..

I am the same way.

"Go Back" ??? So you had a DInc and returned it? Or you got tired of waiting and got the DroidX??

If you have the X in hand, I'd go to the VZW store and compare them side by side. Or even if you don't have it in hand, go compare them. I haven't personally used the X, but I'd think the pro's/con's will be show up fairly quickly. (Sense vs Blur, Screen, etc.)

Really they're both great phones, and there really aren't enough differences on paper to make one better than another. Play with both, and make up your own mind about what's best for you. I'm absolutely satisfied with the DrInc and don't want the X, but that's just me.

Unless there's something you absolutely can't stand/can't live without it's not worth buying the other phone, but if you can still exchange it's your call.

Remember that 98% of tech reviews are complete and utter crap. "oooooh...shiny" is on par with a typical smartphone review. Not that reviewers can't have good observations or insights. But check them out and make up your own mind.

i bought the Moto X and had it for a couple of days. i could not get over a couple of issues.

Moto blur = moto garbage. Sense is sooo much better thought out and designed.

I could not hear the turn by turn navigation even at max volume.

The camera was slow to exit. and the pics were blurry.

the battery was weaker than my incredible.

The charging time was 2x longer than my inc...

I returned it without hesitation.

I am waiting on the Samsung Fascinate. ill buy it on the first day and if it's not as good as the incredible then it will go back too.

Yea, its entirely up to you. I personally wait for a bit to read the average user's reaction to the phone. You can only get so much from holding the phone for a few days to review it. Truth be told, the more I read on the average user's opinion, the less I feel like giving up my Incredible for the X. I'm one who loves Sense UI and using Launcher Pro was gonna be a compromise for me when I was going to get the X. Now I'm hearing many complaints about the X's speaker being really weak (I use speaker phone a lot, so this is bad).

All that aside, it just boils down to if you want an above average sized screen (using iPhone as canon for average sized screen) or a huge screen. Initially the big screen is what drew me in. I browse on my phone a lot... so I thought the X's bigger screen would really benefit me. I knew the phone was big, but I gave it the benefit of a doubt that it'll probably still be within reason because the pics showing the phone next to smaller phones still seemed reasonable. Totally different story when I saw it in person. I'm 6'2 and I can't imagine having this phone in my pocket.. especially if I were to put a protective case on it. Maybe if I wore nothing but baggy jeans and cargos or shorts, it'd be fine.. but I work in an environment (marketing dept) where I have to dress atleast semi-sharp.

I say you wait it out for another week or two.. at least until the Incred gets its next big update before you make your decision. Read up more what other people say, but still remember where you're asking questions as the replies/opinions will be highly biased. The X won't be going anywhere, but your money sure will be if you make a decision you're unhappy about.

FYI: I'm still deciding between the two too. I'm leaning more towards keeping my Inc though, now if Otterbox would hurry up and release their Commuter case for it.

That's kinda how I feel too.

It's size is just too big, IMO, to be practical, as well. Motorola builds a great phone (I have owned many indestructible Motorola phones), if HTC could do the software and design and Motorola could build it you'd have a great Android device.

My previous phone was a Motorola for which I have used for 3-4 years, it's still a good phone. It's been dropped more times than I can count and submerged in many different liquids. Still going strong.

You should have never left. I dont know what is with people and minor upgrades. Would be different if the X was a vast difference.

Next thing you know they'll be making phones with 5" screens. Bigger is not always better. I'm very satisfied with the size of the DINC's screen. It's funny how over the last few years smartphone screens have been getting larger, while many consumers have been happy with the smaller size netbooks.

There already is a phone with a 5" screen - the Dell Streak.

My household is lucky enough to have both these phones. I absolutely love the Inc and would not trade it for the X. My Inc has a longer battery life and is a smoother phone. The widgets are better looking too. My husband has the DX and really likes the size of the screen and keyboard. Having said that, IMO it comes down to what YOU want. They are both good phones. Good Luck choosing.

I'm going from the Evo back to the Incredible. I like the Evo, but I catch the phone roaming a lot of the time, and its a pain to update the profile each time I want to use the phone, so it drops that tower and picks up a closer one, to avoid roaming and using all of my anytime minutes.

I liked the Incredible before I got the Evo, it seems much faster as well as better colors on the screen. I'm happy with it and will be porting back to Verizon tomorrow morning.

Apparently, since I am going back to VZW, I am instantly eligible for NE2 pricing on a new phone, as well as an additional $50, but I'm pretty sure that I'm going to be keeping the Incredible.

First things first, you need to decide for yourself.

Second, the Fascinate is coming out soon and that will blow away the combined efforts of the Incredible's and the x's gpus.

Third, I wouldn't trade my DrInc for both of them if someone offered, because there is no sense on either of them. Well, maybe I would because I could sell them, buy a new DrInc, and make a profit. Wait......screw that, I don't want to wait in line again soooo (thinking, thought, decided) no I wouldn't.
