Help Live Wallpapers worth it?

How much battery do they consume? In terms of time would the make the difference between cutting battery time in half or only like a few hours?

Im sure you would lose a few hours at a minimum. Live wallpapers take up alot of battery some take more then others

There does not exist a live wallpaper whose CPU usage and negative impact in device performance is worth its functionality.

Not worth it IMO, cool to show friends...but slows down phone and eats up battery.

Live wallpapers will slow down the device also. I only use it when I show friends, especially my Apple ones.

I am getting over 16 hours per day with a peak of 24 hours some days with live wallpapers on. So yes, if I can make it wake up to sleep time without charging the rest is gravy

They're not worth it, in my opinion. They slow everything down, and kill my battery.

I tried a few just for the novelty, but the impact on battery life alone is enough to keep me away. I think they're pretty distracting too.

I used live wallpapers on my original Droid and I'm using them on the X now. I never noticed any appreciable difference on my old Droid between using them and not using them. I still had to swap in a spare battery every day around the same time. On the X I can make it from 7ish in the morning till about midnight on a full charge and since I never really saw much of a slowdown on either phone when using them I'm going to keep them. They are the first thing everybody notices about the phone.

P.S. The one place I did see a difference is in quadrant. I can get a score roughly 100 points higher when not using them, not enough to convince me to stop!
