Make google calendar default when adding new events

Anytime I click to add a new event it always defaults to "My Calendar"(phone built in one) as the Calendar it is going to add it too. I have checked my settings and I only have my google calendar checked so it shows all of those events. The "My Calendar" is unchecked too. But it always wants to add it to that one, not google.

Any ideas how to change this? Or if not, is there another calendar app you could recommend I use instead of the stock then? This is really annoying that every event I have to change and select google. I use google calendar for everything, and if I forget once it could cause a lot of problems. Plus, I don't want to think about having to change it manually EVERY EVENT!

This deserves a bump... it is very annoying, I thought there was a problem with google sync for about 2 hours before I figured this out.

One way to have a google calendar default without setting each entry separately is to use Jorte calendar from Android market (it's free). Someone in these forums had recommended it so downloaded it. It has a setting for google default and the two way sync works well. All your entries will appear on the stock calendar (which I don't use any longer). Agreed that the stock calendar should be able to default to google - I thought that increasing the use of google products was the whole point behind making Android OS freely available to manufacturers.
