flash player on android

Were all hoping for it to be available with the upcoming update on the 22 of Jan, but no one really has any concrete information.

One really has nothing to do with the other. 2.1 will be coming from Google/Verizon. Flash 10.1 is coming from Adobe. Will Adobe wait to release 10.1 after we get Android 2.1 ... who knows? But I see a lot of people that imply that Flash will be a part of the 2.1 package. And this just isn't the case.

What exactly will the update to 2.1 mean?

Your DROID is going to look quite differently when 2.1 is installed. Five desktops instead of 3, a new Gallery, a new Music player, some other fluff, a lot of bugs worked out (the ones that these threads are about), and some optimizations for things like Flash 10.1 to run smoothly, 3D stuff, etc...

And does anyone know that with the new flash, will we be able to play flash games on the internet? The PlayStation PSP has a flash player 7 on it and you still can't play flash games on it. Will that be the case for us to?

There are several videos on YouTube already of Flash 10.1 on the DROID, and in all the videos I've seen, THEY ARE PLAYING GAMES. :) You'll be golden, just wait and see.

...this (as well as my response) is all speculation. the HTC Hero has flash capabilities that is baked right into the ROM and provided stock from HTC. we could get a similar thing OTA or it could be some download from the Market or some crazy new thing that is too magnificent to imagine...

no one knows nothing for sure :)
