Help Personalized message notification tones - HELP

I purchased the legend yesterday and I'm not sure whether or not I can set a message notification tone to one person. I've figured out how to install different message notification tones onto the phone, but I cannot figure out how to set a tone to one person.
Can anyone help me?

Not sure if there's an easy way to do this or not but if you to your music folder, find the ringtone & press the menu button, hit 'Set as ringtone' and then do 'contact ringtone'.

Edit; nvm only Email contacts come up!.

you can't with the native sms app, down load handcent sms. WAY BETTER and completely customizable.
