I just got the X a couple days ago, and the battery life seems pretty good, but not spectacular. What kinds of things are people tweaking to increase the battery life? The only thing that I have done so far was to remove all the Motorola widgets, turn off wifi and gps, and installed advanced task killer.

I do have google talk on there... Maybe this is is really crushing the battery???

turn screen brightness to the minimum.
disable the GPS, WIFI and syncing in the power control widget.
DO use ATK, but dont mess with the settings. Just open all the stuff you want to say open like weather widgets, mail and so on. Hold your finger on them when in ATK, then pick ignore. It will ignore those running programs when you kill them. Also put your screen time out to the minimum. Thats all I can think of now.

If you don't have it already, get the "power control" widget on your screen. It looks like this:

I've had sync off for days and still get all my email.

Turn brightness to dimmest and set battery policy (in settings, under battery manager) to "savings" setting.

If you have wifi available, use it. It's faster and should save your battery. Also others have recommended "Y5 - Battery Saver". I just installed it, but not sure how that works.

If you still have trouble, check your apps (weather, email, etc) to see if you can have them update less often.
