Call 611 on it then see if it does lol

YouTube - Behold II screen timeout flaw

I tried the Method you mentioned and indeed it would not lock.

But.

Yeah, there's another, much simpler way to do that on the Behold 2. Make a phone call, then hang up. ;)

brightsn Mentioned Make a Phone call. I called several different numbers. The Screen Locked every time so the problem is with 611. Does yours not lock on regular numbered calls?? I tried #646# and still locked. must bee the 611 type numbers that cause this.

I think it does it on calls to voicemail too.

Basically any calls to tmobile at all.

It only seems to cause problems calling 611 or 1-800-937-8997 (what 611 actually calls). Voicemail doesn't seem to have problems and calling TMO at 1-505-998-3793 also seems to work for me. On my phone, if I call 611, I can't lock the phone at all until I toggle airplane mode.

add: If I call voicemail, using 123 I can't lock the phone afterwards. If I call voicemail by calling my own number, I can lock the phone afterwards.

Mine wouldn't lock on regularly numbered calls. I haven't made any attempt to test this since the update, so it may have been fixed. But, I've never had reason (well, I've had reason, I just didn't bother) to call T-Mobile from my Behold 2.

Update: Tested it on regular phone call just a few minutes ago, and it times out now. I guess the 1.6 update did fix it.

When I did the 611 it would not lock anymore.
When I dialed 1-800-937-8997 I locked normal.
when I did 123 (Never did this one before) it would not lock anymore.
When I long pressed 1 on the dialer for voice mail it would lock normal.

I never tried this with v1.5. (Never knew about it)

I currently have v1.6 OTA from t-mobile. never rooted or flashed.
maybe its the 3 number short codes that cause this. is there any more of them to try??

Update. I replaced my BH2 SIM with the SIM I used on my Zine. I had to call TMO to reactivate my old Zine SIM. It took them about a day to make this happen as it is more complicated to do a reactivation of a previously used SIM than to activate a brand new never used before SIM.

Using my old Zine SIM I had no problems with any of the 3 digit numbers or any of the other numbers. Phone timed out and locked properly and had no problems going into lock at all.

Looks like my original problem was with the SIM - probably did not have the mapping from 3 digit numbers to 10 digit numbers stored properly.

Mine did it with 3 different sim cards.
