To get pictures/music/apps onto your phone from your PC and avoid having to use a USB cable, an easy method is to install dropbox from the marketplace and install on your computer.

You can then easily place any file into the dropbox on your computer and it will automatically sync. A great feature of the android dropbox is that is allows instalation of .apk files as well, saving time all round.

Thought i'd pass on this bit of advice here as i found it to be very useful.

If your looking to register with dropbox, follow the link below (By doing so, you also help me out with extra space- Something id very much appreciate :))

EStrongs and Astro also let you connect to your LAN. I connect to my NAS using that - I download all the stuff I want via that and simply take a second to copy and paste.

Oh, and with Froyo, you can use Chrome to Phone.

I use this as well, and while its not overly complicated, it isnt quite as straight forward as the drop box method.
Both will achieve the same thing, just depends on what your comfortable with.

the good thing about drop box is that all your stuff gets synced with their server where a copy is stored, the app on your phone, the program on your pc, the work pc, your mates pc or the web based client, all sync with the server, so where ever you look at your files, they are always up to date.

you can add files anywhere and all instances of your dropbox will be identical.

the android drop box shows you a list of your files on the server, and it only actually downloads the file to your sd card when and if you click on it, saving space.

I use Astro as well as dropbox for the best of both worlds :0)
