Droid Home Speaker System

Well, personally I'm into wireless technology so I would of course recommend some epic bluetooth stereo system. (I have no specific system in mind, but I'm sure there are some great ones out there) It doesn't really need to be designed to hold the Droid, if it's a bluetooth stereo that is set up for the Droid to stream music to. Admittedly, though, this might be kind of expensive compared to wired systems, and you would need to find a bluetooth system that doesn't sound like sh*t.

Alternatively I'd recommend maybe downloading gmote from the Marketplace. This is an app that, if you download the respective server app for your computer, can communicate with your PC and start playing music files/videos on your PC. I have my PC (which I usually keep on all the time) hooked up to a sound system, so when I want to listen to music I just open the gmote app on my Droid, and tell it to start playing. The Droid uses my wifi connection to tell the PC to play music. This comes in handy when you have a large music collection on your PC, that won't necessarily all fit on your Droid's memory stick.

I guess the question is how big?
I myself am looking for a compact unit for work, preferably BlueTooth. I have checked out the one Motorola offers. It looks cute, a bit too small, but has gotten poor reviews. I think the other one I was looking at was Altek? I dunno. Was actually gonna start a thread on it.

At home, I plug my phone into the aux of my stereo system. Looks pretty funny, giant floor speakers and a big old reciever with just a little phone sitting beside it, but it does sound great.
I think most modern portable stereo players have an auxiliary input jack these days.

Been using this for about a year used with my pc to stream internet radio and now i can plug my phone in the same way. They come wired or with battery. Water proof and you can mount them to a wall or in my case a post on my porch out side. They are great in the summer time for out door party's (we have a lot of them :) ) And the range is pretty dam good i can take them down to the lake behind my house and they play fine (about 100 ft)

Cables Unlimited

I got them on amazon.com for about 98.00.

I use the motorola t-505. It's a blue-tooth device that allows u to play your music thru any fm receiver. It also plays your phone calls thru it as well. No cords to deal w and i only paid 75 bucks for it. Especially love using it in my vehicle. It's about the size of a small radar detector n comes w a clip. This device allows me to play all my music on my moto droid from stuff i have downloaded to Pandora thru any stereo. Very sweet n totally recommend!
