Well this one slipped out rather silently – we knew the Samsung Behold 2 would launch on T-Mobile on November 18th and guess what? Today is November 18th and the phone is now available for purchase!Clockwork, baby! The T-Mobile price of $229.99 on a 2-year contract seems to be the best offer available at the [...]

I got a B2 today. I exchanged a Motorola Cliq for it. While the Motoblur overlay was more sophisticated, the recurring "dead spots" on the touch screen drove me nuts. The high spots for me, on the B2, are:
Fantastic screen...more vibrant and, for me, much more readable.
5 mp camera...somebody at Samsung must be a photographer because this one works really well. Love the AF, as well as the flash.
Browser: is a Webkit variation and works quickly and almost as well as the one on the iPhone (can I say that here???_

I just finished draining the battery and am charging it back. I'll know soon how long it holds. I am also impressed with the speed of the phone and both regular and downloaded apps. Although, I do have a question:

Since both the Cliq and the B2 are running OS 1.5, does anyone know why a few apps that were available in the Market with the Cliq are not there on the B2? (specific examples are: taskpanel and flightstats)

I'm not a big facepage type person so I haven't checked that out. Twitter seems to work fairly well.

Finally, for those who have more experience with android: are the must have apps you would recommend for me on the Behold 2.

Thanks for having this forum.

new to the android era (as i said before in previous threads came off the iphone 3gs cloud and landed on the moto droid). I am thinking bout tryna get the samsung omnia 2 (trading in the droid if the omnia 2 is released within my 30 days). Is that a good or foolish move. reasons why 1) i know it will allow me to make use of the directv nfl supercast. (mayb).im on the hook wit directv so im stuck wit it, with the iphone i could watch it at work on sundays, droid nada) 2) i know it will allow me (i think actually) to get my espn on (droid maybe ......if the adobe flash 10 do what i think). I dont know enough to compare the rest.......all i can mayb guess is that it is similar to the behold II. Not enough info whether it will b a droid or windows phone.
I dont kno cuz the droid is cool but i have a lot of question on the direction of the phone.....is it or will it be what verizon is pumping it o be or is it all just hype.
And can i get a run down on how the droid market operates as far as development goes.....i sort of kno how apple itunes work, but to be honest with u if it wasnt for the nfl superfan i would not be as impressed with the phone.....to be honest i was more impressed with the app then the phone. with the iphone i couldnt listen to knbr or go to any other sports radio sites. Flash on droid (if its a true flash player) will allow me to go there...mayb ?
