Please help me decide to sell my evo or not?

Ok, I purchased my evo used for $350. It came with extra battery, battery charger, hard case, screen protector and HDMI cable and regular charger cable.

I listed it on CL for $415 to see if I could turn a profit and sure enough someone wants it this evening. I'm only selling it with the case and charger. I'm keeping extra battery/charger/HDMI/screen protector

I figure I can just sign another contract and get a brand new one for $200 - but there aren't any to be had! ANYWHERE. They are all sold out.

So to sell and wait for an evo? Or keep. What should I do??

It's not like I need the money I just love bargains.

If you want to make a profit and live without your EVO for now then sell. If the phone is more important to you then making a measly $65 then keep it.

Don't know what other advice you are looking for.

I think I'm going to do it :/

Guy at BB said if I get on the list I'll ahve one within a week.

Evo in pocket + $200 > Evo in pocket
It's not a $200 profit though, it is only $65. If your EVO is in good condition and has no issues, I would hang onto it instead of risking an EVO in worse shape for just $65. That's just me though. I would rather have an defective free device....

Now, if your EVO has some serious light leakage or dead pixels, then it might be worth it......

Correct to say the profit is $65 from where he is today. he already spent $350, he will be getting all his money back plus $65, then he will buy a new one for $200 ($150 less), so in the end he will have $215 more than if he kept the one he bought, plus all the extras.

Proverbs 16:16 -- "It's much better to be wise and sensible than to be rich."

I think what Solomon is trying to tell us, is to keep your EVO and use it to bring more peace and well-being......or sell it, for a small profit, to some fool that doesn't want to wait on a waiting list. ;)

If you can get the money today, sell it. And get your new EVO by next week.

Im not sure about this. If you buy a new evo for 200 you have to open a new line. This means you either keep paying for your other line or cancel it and eat the cancellation fee. The only way I see this working is if you are eligible for an upgrade for a line...

You don't have to open a new line - just have to sign a 2 year agreement... seeing I've been with sprint for 12 years I guess I can handle another 2.

As long as I have an evo :)

I sold it.

The guy talked me down to $400 even. I kept screen protector, extra battery, battery charger, hdmi cable, and 16gb card. He got a 2gb card and was cool with it.

Now I have to live with a blackberry for a little. I miss evo a lot :(

Sean - I would buy but how do I know I won't be scammed?

You sold it AND got to keep all those extra goodies!? Sound like a win to me!
