So Shazam isn't free anymore ($4.99):

Shazamers' Blog

However, users who have used shazam before July 13th are grandfathered in so they get free shazam.

I uninstalled and reinstalled a bunch of apps and shazam happened to be one of them - but it didn't recognize me despite shazam noting it should:

"Users who downloaded 1.0 and tagged at least one song, but subsequently removed/uninstalled the application also keep unlimited tagging when they download the latest version – you do not have to keep the old version on your phone for unlimited tagging to remain. Users can also uninstall and reinstall 2.0 without affecting their grandfathered- status."

Does anyone have Shazam 1.0 or a link to the 1.0 APK that I can have? Would appreciate it.

EDIT:
Received 1.0 - back to free. Thanks anonymous.

It worked better in my opinion. Shazam doesn't allow you to purchase and download songs directly to your phone like V-cast song ID did.

It was actually something done by Verizon that worked pretty well.

You can buy directly from amazon on shazzam and many other options. I havent tried it yet, but the options are there.

It takes you to the regular Amazon website. I thought it didn't download to the Inc properly?

This is one of the reasons I paid for the full version of Pdanet. Who knows if VZW will eventually get tired of people using free tethering and gets it pulled from the app market. I use Pdanet all the time and think the developers deserve to be paid. I also use Shazam all the time and will updgrade to the paid version even though I am grandfathered.
