Well, this pretty much solves the battery issue with the evo. I'm still at 90% at 6 hours of moderate use.

I used to jump from 100 to 80% after about 2 hours, but now it's actually trickling down slowly and not making any sudden drops in battery life.

Was considering returning the phone, but now I'm keeping it. The design is actually really nice - much better than the photos on their site and now I don't have to worry about damaging the camera lens.

I'll post pics later, but it's safe to say that anyone looking to double their battery life should get one of these.

I was thinkin about getting this but...Its like 60 bucks for the battery and the battery cover they give is just that an it doesnt cover the sides of the phone...and there is only one case that would fit the phone with that extended battery and thats 30 bucks and not even released yet.....:-\

I have the 3500 as well and the innocase rugged works a pretty good fit over the extended battery. Just the rubber part and the hard plastic on the outside that keeps the rubber in place. My battery life is kind of jumping around on mine. I may have charged it wrong the first couple times.

Can you use the holster with the extended battery?

I'm looking for a pouch to carry my phone actually. I have a zag shield on the front with the extended battery in the back and I pretty much carry it around bare. I have the insurance, so if anything bad happens, I'll just get a replacement, but I find that hard cases that cover the back and the sides of the phone usually leave more scratches than they try to prevent. My iphone would look years older from hard cases rubbing the on the metal and plastic slowly.

But, it's an extended battery, so getting me through the day and then some was the priority for me.

okay think they make more then 1 extended battery don't they? 1 used the different cover and 1 doesn't.

I have the one that doesn't. It's like a 1750 supposedly? yes there have been reports that many batteries don't live up to their indicated size.

but I followed their instructions, for all of the batteries I have now (the 1750 and 2 oem 1500s) on how to charge them the fist 4 or 5 times - like 8 hrs ea time. This by the way is much more easily accomplished if you also get their stand alone charger (no need to tie up the phone).

So the point... every time I use the seidio battery, I get better uptimes. I put it in airplane mode overnight, so I can use the up-time give a fairly reliable indication of how the battery is doing...

last up-time with the 1750 seidio? over 90 hours. Both the other batts it's usually time to change at about 70 hours.

enjoy,

Sound interesting, does the case come off easy if you drop your phone?

I'm pretty happy with mine so far.. The added thickness really isn't an issue for me and the added weight actually makes the phone feel more solid.. Its actually more comfortable to hold while txt'ing... I'm a txt'ing nazi and with GPS on, screen brightness max, mild web surfing (3g), 10mins voice calls- if I take it off the charger (100%) at 9am, by 7pm I'm at 50% which to me is worth it.. This phone is a juice hog period as are all the new smart phones with this size screen and features so.. We can't expect miracles..

so are you using the 3500 battery without the new door with just the innocase rugged on it?

i have been thinking of getting this battery to try something like this. i was reading about the innocase active and it says not compatible with the 3500 and 2700 mah batteries.

anyone know what 2700mah battery seidio is referring too Innocase Active For use with HTC EVO 4G - Sapphire Blue

I bought a 2700mah battery for my incredible from cellularfactory.com. I dont know what would have been the proper way to test it. But for me, I got it, charged it overnight, and then I turned WIFI/GPS/Bluetooth/autosync on as well as set the brightness to automatic. I also listened to IheartRadio approx 3 hours as well as taking pics/video. Alongwith this I did voice nav as well. Normal emailing. But since GPS in itself is a hog along with bluetooth, I thought this would be sufficient.

The result? My battery lasted for 42 hours 15 minutes with awake time of 7 hours and 42 minutes. It actually didnt die and just stayed at 0:00 (battery meter) I believe if I had left it for another hour it would have died. But I think that it was awesome that after all this activity, it lasted this long. the other thing is, it makes the phone thick, but doesnt make the back a pyramid but straight (like a fat ice-cream bar!) If anyone is interested check it out at HTC Extended Cell Phone Battery 2700 mAh, FREE Shipping, HTC PHONE Extended Cell Phone Battery 2700 mAh

Most people don't care about standby time. They care about usage time

agreed, but I am unsure of what his stock battery size is or long it has lasted.

I feel I get similar up times as he does with my stock battery. I feel I have gotten close to that streaming pandora over bluetooth.

I'm interested in how your 2600 battery works out and how thick it is in caparison to the sedio 3500.

I feel like I would like a real 2500 or so battery that I can sneak under a protection case if I leave my battery door off.
