Music not loud enough with headphones

I loaded my music onto my Droid recently. When I took it to the gym to work out I was disappointed with how little noise came out of the headphones. I am just using the stock headphones from my iPod. Would another brand give me more volume? And, if so what are some of the loudest you know of?

I suspect your headphones are an issue.. or the recorded level.

I am using iPhone headphones (3 gen, the phones with mic), and the sound at the highest level HURTS my ears.. bigtime..

In fact, while on a phone call, on it's lowest setting, it's still just a bit high for my ears.

Once I reached into my pocket to get the phone and inadvertently pushed the volume rocker to full volume (while listening to an mp3).. OUCH..

It plays loud..

Strangely I've noticed the same thing. Call volume through a wired headset is loud, while music is quieter. I find myself putting music volume up to 50-75% while call volume is on min (all through wired headset)

I'd definitely try another set of headphones to see if it is a phone issue.

I've listened to music on mine with the Motorola S305's which are uncomfortable after a while. I listen for 8 hours a day with my Ultimate Ears SuperFi 5 Pro (amazing sound - but also ~$230) with the volume set on one click above being off and the volume is perfect.

I just tried listening on a different set of headphones and it was much louder. A set of cheap earbuds that I got free as a sponsor giveaway at a concert. The bass is a lot thinner but I listen at a much lower volume. So definitely try a different set of headphones if you're not happy with the volume levels to see if its the device or the headset.

I use some quality Sinnheiser earbuds, that create a seal when you insert into the ear, for working out, they come with different size buds for different size ears. With Pandora running on the Droid the music can be way louder than I can stand!

Hope that helps!

Anyone come across a good pair of headphones with inline controls for volume, play, skip, etc?

My iphone headphone don't control the player accurately

I don't believe the 4g Apple headsets will work with the Droid (yet)..

They don't work with my Droid, BUT, the 3g's will work. This is the set with just the mic and one click button. (play/pause/answer switch).

I was going to compare the barrels on the headsets, if the physical configuration is the same perhaps an android software update can make the 4g headsets work? we'll see...

I enjoy my Bose Noise canceling headphones when needing some peace and quiet while listening to some good music. Great bass and great sound with these headphones and the Droid.
