Root RoM Manager help?

I try to flash clockworkmod recovery in ROM Manager but everytime I try it says "An error occured while attempting to run privileged commands!". I rooted with Simpleroot. Please help me.

Well I was rooted but I used this update PC36 file and It fixed it.

I believe that u never deleted the PC36 file so when u went into recovery the phone looked for that file and told you to update which u probably did leaving you with a locked NAND or somehow not rooted without you knowing,just install the zip again and this time make sure u erase the file so the phone wont look for it everytime you go into recovery mode.
