Phone Awake....Can't figure out why. Difference between Spare Parts and "About Phone"

Ok,

so I'm stumped, and this is the absolute time I'm going to put effort into figuring this out. I thought I had it licked, but it doesn't appear so.

I'm running Darch 2.7 and it is simply amazing!! The only issue is battery drain. I don't think it's the ROM, as I first experienced it with Fresh 2.3.3. Something is keeping my phone awake and I can't figure out what it is.

If I go into Spare Parts under Battery History, using the "Other Usage" and "Since Last Unplugged" tabs, I see that the phone is running 28% of the time. Fair enough. Seems normal.

Under About Phone and Status in the settings menu, it shows my "Up Time" equal to my time of last boot which indicates that it's not sleeping.

Which one is correct?

Battery Useage shows Cell Standby at 42%, Phone Idle at 36%, WiFi at 15% and Display at 8%.

Any help is appreciated. At this point, I give up. I'm sticking with Darch for sure though, as my phone is 100% functional. It just sucks I get no battery time with it

Up time is the time since boot, awake time is the time it hasn't been asleep. If your phone isn't sleeping it will show what's been keeping it awake in the partial wake usage tab in spare parts, check that out.

Using Radio Baseband Version 2.42.01.04.27

I tried the Verizon radio and didn't see too much of a difference (if any at all).

Partial Wake Useage since last unplugged shows

Android System with a total time of 54m5s
TIKL with a total time of 17m41s
Facebook at 3m51s

and the remaining items listed are irrelevant.

It's now 12:30pm and I'm at 50% battery. I've had it off the charger since about 6:30am. So, essentially 6 hours. I guess that some would consider that decent battery life, but I had always been able to go to work at 8am and get home at 5pm w/ about 65-70% battery remaining.

I guess I'm just not understanding how it's so low with all of the information that I'm seeing from Spare Parts. The information just doesn't seem consistent with what I'm seeing for battery life.

Yesterday I had it at my baseball game from 7:30am until 2:30pm (7 hours) and had 60% battery left. I had actually used the music player for 1 hour before the game as well. This is just mind boggling!

Are you running OC'ed or anything else pertinent?

It may just be the ROM too. I know, for me at least, Fresh is giving me better battery life than Zen... everything was running the same too.

I'm running Darch 2.7.

I was also seeing it on Fresh 2.3.3 (and I can't remember if it started w/ 2.1.2).

Could that be the issue?

It could be the ROM not liking your hardware on the phone.... Anything, is unfortunately, a possibility.

I can say from personal experience that Darchdroid wasn't too great on battery. I have heard great things about CM6 Rc1 plus the battery tweak, I find froyo to be nearly identical to darchdroid so you may wanna check that out.

Ugh, well, I guess it's unfortunately going to have to suffice, because as I"ve stated before, for the first time since I"ve owned my phone, I can actually use all functions of it. I guess I'll just have to always carry the extra battery if I'm going to be out somewhere.

damn, just saw that my time without a signal is at 19%

but my battery doesn't drain quickly, is 19% an okay number or is there a way to improve that?

already have the radio (2.42.01.04.27) flashed, and update the prl frequently

19% isn't good, but it isn't really problematic either. Just stay somewhere with signal

When it hits 50% or HIGHER (mine was at 89% the other day) then you have change some stuff to get it working ok
