I'd like to get two docks (one for bedside and one for my computer), but I don't know that I can justify two at 40 bucks a pop. I guess I'm not shocked to see that kind of price. I might just get one for bedside so the phone can charge overnight - whenever they become available. A third party may come out with a cheaper alternative as well.

I wonder if these docks (especially the auto one) have audio passthru (audio out)?

I am sitting here starring at the dock shown above on my screen, and then my phone in my hand, and it looks like the phone slides sideways into the dock from right to left, and hooks into a mini-usb source there on the bottom left side of the phone.

The only problem with this of course, is that the captivate's usb port is located on the top of the device... Am i missing something?

I dig on the carbon (assuming "look") case, but since that's a Galaxy S part, I'm thinking it won't fit the slightly different physical form factor of the Captivate.

hahah.. I am really not a dumb person... I swear.. hahha.

Once he said you turn it on it's side, it all hit me like a ton of bricks.

Oh well.. I guess i was just thinking that i have had 3 blackberries in the past and had docks for all of them, and they all slid "down" into the dock.
