In the effort to help build more of a sense of community, I'm beginning a Lounge thread similar to the one we have in the Incredible forum. This thread is for off-topic or loosely related Droid X banter/shmooze. It's kind of a place to have a beer or a coffee with other X fans/friends. Kind of like a water cooler. Others are welcome here too! Have fun!

I'm sure having fun with the apps, it's my first smart phone and I like it! Gotta make sure I don't go overboard though. Once I paid $19.99 for the RDP Enterprise app, the rest looked cheeeeap!

Yup! The apps "cheeeeeap" you to death until you're overdrawn in the account!

I just spent like 20 minutes making a custom group of contacts so that I could have my scrollable contact widget only display people that I call that have Facebook photos.

Talk about OCD

I don't blame you. LPP takes so long to load, that it should paired down as much as possible.

I'm with you. I'll just have diet coke, though. I'm at my calorie limit for the day. The older you get the less calories they allot for you.

I'm just the the opposite. When I plug my X in and no LED indicator light comes on to tell me it's charging or it's finished, I think it's pretty idiotic!
Even a Samsung i700 old-time smartphone could do that!

I do love my phone, though!

See, that's when you just mix vodka with Diet Coke or Pepsi Max (0 calories) lol

I do agree with you guys about the LED blinking when charged. Kinda silly. Oh well. Coming from an iPhone, I'm appreciating the blinking LED, period

The only app I bought so far was Logmein at $29.95
Now that is a little overboard on the pricing! But I wanted it so I had to buy it!
How is the RDP app?

1) the day after the X came out, I was eating wings and had my X on the bar and the waiter saw it and couldn't get enough. I wish it had been a waitress, but it was sweet.
2) 2nd person saw it later and asked about it, saying he hated his iPhone because he couldn't get it insured and it was so easy to break
3) I went to work and a couple guys asked me if I had seen the new Droid...I had to show them that I had heard about it

I'm loving it!

When reviewing this phone, I haven't heard anyone of us, besides you, mention anything about the brag factor. Shame. Shame on us all!
