Going back to 1.6 or 1.5??

I have to say 2.1 wasnt worth the wait in my opinion. Ever since doing the update Easytether or PDAnet both kick offline after running sometimes for hours or just minutes, phone is laggy, etc.etc. How do you go about going back to the old Version of Android?

The only way I'm aware of would be to root and flash a 1.5 based custom Rom, which is totally worth it regardless.

Just reflash the original 1.5 SW, let us know how you make out

Since when can we run 1.6, thought it was 1.5, 2.1, or now. 2.2?

We aren't/didn't run 1.6.

The Sprint Hero has only OFFICIALLY ran 1.5 and 2.1.

Edited, was a typo, because we went from 1.5 to update to 1.6 is what I meant, I would assume you flash 1.5,then you do an update, I would assume it will update 1.6

Thanks for all the help. Loaded the RUU_Hero_C_Sprint_2.27.651.5_R_signed_release.exe and it took this time then rooted the phone and got the wireless tether program and so far it works excellant! No dropped connections and is just as fast as wired tethering.

I just did this and it was totally worth it. I hated 2.1 with a passion. I can finally cruise Craigslist again without the browser losing its place when i back out to a previous page.
